The debut album - quoted by Iain Anderson on BBC Radio Scotland as one of the best Scottish albums of the year on it's release, and bagging a four star review in The Scotsman. The Distance features Travis drummer Neil Primrose and launched the career of singer Jacqui Kerr. In the absence of a vocal booth, WB found a boot room at Crear Studio ideal to record Jacqui's takes, establishing base camp in an adjoining room with Pro Tools wiz Grant Milne at the mouse. Jacqui's speciality macaroni cheese sustained the mix at the Biscuit Factory, all amidst the wonderful ambience of the West Coast.
Lead track Sugar Coated 1x1 featured on Seriously Scottish MTV Awards Edinburgh, the Scottish music industry sampler produced by SMIC. Dusty Highway, track 2, featured on the Go NORTH cover mount CD for Music Week in 2003.
